In a freestyle cipher at BET’s “Hip Hop Awards,” hip hop legend, Eminem had many rhymes about Donald Trump’s current reign in the White House and all the controversy surrounding the President, involving patriotism, the flag, the NFL, and more. Em calls out Trump, in regards to the NFL, for deeming the protest during the national anthem as disrespecting the troops, meanwhile Eminem points out Trump as a hypocrite for slamming, Senator John McCain, during the election, for being captured in Vietnam. Trump at the time disparaged the military war veteran when he stated, “I like people that weren’t captured.” In Eminem’s freestyle, Eminem also draws a line in the sand between Trump supporters and his fans, rapping, “And any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his/I’m drawing in the sand a line/You either for or against/And if you can’t decide who you like more in your split/ On who you should stand beside/I’ll do it for you with this/Fuck You”
Colin Kaepernick re-tweeted Eminem’s freestyle on twitter, as a co-sign to Eminem’s fight for racial injustice.
